Backflow Prevention Assembly Certification

NDRWSA has four staff members who are licensed to test, certify, and repair backflow prevention assemblies. All four staff members have been through a written and hands-on certification process in preparation of offering this benefit to systems less than 10,000 in population.

Staff is equipped with the Mid-West Model 845 backflow test kit and can test, certify, and repair Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ), Double Check Valve (DC), Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) and Spill-Resilient Vacuum Breaker (SVB) backflow prevention assemblies.

Once completed with the certification, you will receive the results of the test and a hanger to put on your backflow assembly that will indicate the date certified, who certified the assembly and if the assembly passed or failed the test.

There is a small fee of $25.00 per assembly to cover the maintenance costs of the test equipment.

If your system has backflow assemblies that need to be tested and certified, please complete the form below and someone will contact you.
