what is the chive
“I chived the comment section so hard, they banned me.”
What the heck are you friends doing? They’re acting like assholes.
Our Chivette collection is all about celebrating the sexy side of the ladies who bring something special to theCHIVE. For every CHIVE girl out there looking to show off their assets, turn heads, and spice up their wardrobe we’ve got the perfect apparel. Choose from the hottest t-shirts, tanks, underwear and bikinis custom made for CHIVE girls who helped change our world.
If you spot a Chiver in the wild it’s usually because they’re sporting one or more pieces of CHIVE gear, like our KCCO shirts or the flags and decals adorning the sweet rides of Chive Nation members.
I feel like this is more of a lack of trust and low self esteem, than anything else.
He also had no problem with me looking up #cockinasock.
It’s thechive, a website known for galleries of pictures, inspirational stories, and funny videos. The phrase is their slogan. If you are “chiving on” you could be doing a number of things from drinking a beer, to helping out a friend in need, or a complete stranger (ex: random acts of kindness) Guys who use the chive are called chivers, while woman are chivettes. The website does get some flack for the amount of half naked pics they post, but mostly it is well received. The community on the page is unlike anywhere else on the internet. They post pics and stories sometimes that have already been on reddit, and that makes some people angry. But if you are a true chiver, you don’t care.
I saw a sticker that says “stay calm and chive on” I know the whole stupid “stay calm and INSERT SOMETHING STUPID” fad but I don’t get the chive on. I tried googling it but it just took me to a website with half naked girls. And lists that were just excuses to look at girls half naked, like 25 tanlines of summer.
The KCCO expression, like many other internet expressions, is part of the online conversation culture. There are lots of other standard abbreviations and web jargon used online such as FLBP and DAR.
theCHIVE is not for everyone and certainly not for young children. However, open-minded teens and adults of all ages will enjoy the blog. The stories and bizarre human reports you can find there are mesmerizing, and the photos of bikini-clad women and muscular men are motivating for some readers.
